Reviewed June 2026
Gamma Communications is a UK-based, FTSE 250-listed business communications provider. Its core offering is Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS), built around the Horizon cloud phone system, SIP trunking, Microsoft Teams Phone and Cisco Webex. Beyond telephony, it covers business connectivity (broadband, FTTP, leased lines, SD-WAN), contact centre platforms and a growing managed cyber-security portfolio. It reaches customers three ways: direct to SMBs, enterprise and public sector; through a large channel partner base; and wholesale to other service providers.
Our verdict
Gamma Communications scores 76/100 (Very good) and ranks #5 overall. SMEs up to enterprise and public sector buyers who want a financially solid, network-owning UK provider for hosted telephony, UCaaS and connectivity. Particularly well suited to organisations buying through a reseller or partner, or those standardising on Microsoft Teams Phone or Cisco Webex.
Strengths
- FTSE 250 scale and financial strength (FY2025 revenue ~£645.8m, net income ~£65.0m) with its own UK network, strong reliability and longevity
- Deep, market-leading UCaaS/telephony portfolio (Horizon, SIP, Teams Phone, Webex) recognised by Frost & Sullivan
- Genuine multi-category breadth: telephony plus connectivity (FTTP/leased lines/SD-WAN) plus a real managed cyber-security stack (SOC/MDR)
- Strong vendor alliances with Microsoft, Cisco/Webex and Amazon Connect
- Flexible routes to market, direct, large partner channel, and wholesale
Watch-outs
- Largely channel/partner-led, so direct buyers may get a less consistent experience and pricing is rarely transparent online
- Public Trustpilot score is low (~2.6), even if distorted by spoofed-call complaints rather than customer service
- No business energy offering, not a one-stop utilities + comms provider
- IT/cyber and managed services are newer and narrower than its core telephony, less of a full traditional MSP than specialists
- Heritage as a telecoms consolidator means a sometimes complex, acquisition-stitched product set
